દિલ્હી NCR સહિત સમગ્ર ઉત્તર ભારતમાં ભૂકંપના જોરદાર આંચકા અનુભવાયા. જોરદાર આંચકાને કારણે લોકો ઘર અને ઓફિસમાંથી બહાર આવી ગયા હતા અને દોડધામ કરવા લાગ્યા હતા. રિક્ટર સ્કેલ પર તેની તીવ્રતા 6.2 હોવાનું કહેવાય છે.
દેશની રાજધાની દિલ્હી-NCRમાં આજે ભૂકંપના ખૂબ જ જોરદાર આંચકા અનુભવાયા છે. આ આંચકા લાંબા સમય સુધી ચાલુ રહ્યા. સમગ્ર ઉત્તર ભારતમાં ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા છે. ભૂકંપનું કેન્દ્ર નેપાળ હતું. ભૂકંપની તીવ્રતા રિક્ટર સ્કેલ પર 6.2 હતી. આ ભૂકંપ બપોરે 2.53 કલાકે આવ્યો હતો. ભૂકંપના આંચકા આવતા જ લોકો ઘર અને ઓફિસમાંથી બહાર આવવા લાગ્યા હતા. માનવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે કે આ ભૂકંપના કારણે મોટાપાયે નુકસાન થવાની આશંકા છે. ભૂકંપની તીવ્રતા ઘણી વધારે છે. આના કારણે જાનહાનિ થવાની પણ આશંકા છે. જોકે આ અંગે સત્તાવાર જાણકારી સામે આવી નથી.

ભૂકંપ બાદ કેન્દ્રીય સ્વાસ્થ્ય મંત્રી મનસુખ માંડવિયા નિર્માણ ભવનમાંથી બહાર આવ્યા હતા. રુદ્રપ્રયાગમાં બપોરે 2.51 કલાકે ભૂકંપના આંચકા અનુભવાયા હતા. ચંપાવત જિલ્લામાં નેપાળની સરહદે આવેલા તેરાઈ વિસ્તારોમાં ભૂકંપના તીવ્ર આંચકા અનુભવાયા હતા. 10 થી 15 સેકન્ડ સુધી સતત આંચકા અનુભવાયા હતા. ભૂકંપના કારણે લોકો ઘરની બહાર આવી ગયા હતા.
