ભારતીય એથ્લેટ પ્રવીણ કુમારે શુક્રવારે મેલ હાઈ જમ્પની T64 ફાઇનલમાં પોતાનું સર્વશ્રેષ્ઠ પ્રદર્શન કરીને ગોલ્ડ મેડલ જીત્યો હતો. આ મેડલ સાથે પેરાલિમ્પિક ગેમ્સમાં ભારતના મેડલની સંખ્યા વધીને 26 થઈ ગઈ છે. કુમારે શુક્રવારે પેરિસ પેરાલિમ્પિક્સમાં 2.08 મીટરની એશિયન રેકોર્ડ જમ્પ સાથે પ્રથમ સ્થાન મેળવ્યું હતું. દેશે અત્યાર સુધીમાં 6 ગોલ્ડ, 9 સિલ્વર અને 11 બ્રોન્ઝ મેડલ જીત્યા છે.
