Ahmedabad: The Film and Television Promotion Council of India (FTPC), a organisation dedicated to the growth and promotion of the Indian film and TV industry, has taken a giant step towards its goal by appointment Maharshi Desai as the President of its Gujarat wing. The appointment also marks FTPC India’s entry in the vibrant state of Gujarat.
The announcement was made during the ceremony in Ahmedabad in the presence of prominent leaders from different spheres. Varun Patel, Managing Director of NG Group, a leading real estate company, and popular actor Pari Rajrani, were the chief guests on the occasion.
FTPC India envisions uniting the diverse facets of Indian cinema on a single platform, promoting cross-cultural connections and technological exchanges to help the industry reach new heights. Under the leadership of President Chaitanya Janga and Secretary VS Varma Pakalapati, the organisation aims to facilitate a seamless exchange between film and TV industry of Hindi and various regional languages.

Maharshi Desai, who is also a member of the BJP’s cultural cell and is actively involved with various other organisations, has been entrusted with the key role of FTPC Gujarat President. He will also serve as the chairman of FTPC India’s cultural committee.

Additionally, Rakesh Bhavsar has been appointed as Vice President of FTPC India and Secretary of FTPC Gujarat, further enhancing the organisation’s presence in the state.
