The Uttarardh Mahotsav, also known as the Modhera Dance Festival, is a classical dance festival held at the historic 11th-century Sun Temple in Gujarat, celebrating the Sun God (Surya) and connecting ancient traditions with modern art.

Its name signifies the halfway point (“ardh”) of the sun’s northward journey (“Uttarayan”), symbolizing renewal and the lengthening days after winter.

The festival revives the tradition of temple-based ritual performances, offering a sacred stage for various Indian classical dance forms .🙏 Blessed by my gurus, parents, family, friends & students 🙏. Thrilled to share i performed with my students at Uttarardh Mahotsav, Modhera Sun Temple – Krishnamayi’s 52nd show 🙏🙏🙏
