The Uttarardh Mahotsav, also known as the Modhera Dance Festival, is a classical dance festival held at the historic 11th-century Sun Temple in Gujarat, celebrating the Sun God (Surya) and connecting ancient traditions with modern art.<\/p>\n

Its name signifies the halfway point (“ardh”) of the sun’s northward journey (“Uttarayan”), symbolizing renewal and the lengthening days after winter.<\/p>\n
